Running along the western edge of Richmond, the West Dyke Trail offers stunning views of the ocean, Steveston, and even Vancouver Island on a clear day. With almost no traffic, it's a favorite for locals and a great place to test out a step-through e-bike for the first time.
📍 Park near Garry Point or Terra Nova and follow the trail north or south.
2. Middle Arm Waterfront Trail
Distance: ~3.7 km
Type: Paved multi-use path
Best For: Beginners, photography lovers, waterfront cruising
This scenic trail follows the Fraser River and connects to the Olympic Oval. It’s smooth, wide, and great for riders of all levels — including kids or first-time renters.
✅ Ideal for testing throttle/pedal assist modes on your Thunder e-bike.
3. Iona Beach Regional Park
Distance: ~4 km pier + surrounding paths
Type: Gravel/dirt causeway
Best For: Peaceful rides, nature lovers, fat tire e-bike owners
Iona’s long straight pier takes you far into the water — a surreal and peaceful experience. If you’re riding a fat tire e-bike or looking for open, flat space to cruise, this is a must-visit.

4. Shell Road Trail
Distance: ~5 km
Type: Multi-surface path (gravel, dirt, boardwalks)
Best For: Off-road riding, testing suspension, adventurous riders
This lesser-known gem cuts through a greenbelt from Riverport to Cambie Road. It’s a great place to test a Thunder Mountain F750 or other all-terrain models with suspension.

5. Steveston Village Loop

Type: City streets + dyke trail
Best For: Weekend exploring, food stops, family rides
Cruise through one of Richmond’s most popular spots, enjoy fresh seafood, and stop at cafes or the waterfront boardwalk. The Thunder Folding F500 is a perfect fit for this casual, flexible route.
