Warranty Terms
Richmond E-bike warranty covers all electrical components on your electric bike: two-year on the motor or 10,000 km and one-year on electrical components or 10,000 km. This one-year includes battery, controller, display, brake power cut inhibitors, pedal assist sensors, cable harness, key lock assembly and any other electrical component which is part of the electric bicycle.Richmond E-bike warranty does not cover mechanical parts like brakes, rims, tires, spokes, derailleur, pedals, handlebars and so on. We consider these parts as regular wear and tear items. If you need any adjustments, then we ask you to visit Richmond E-bike or your local bike shop.
Richmond E-bike will not cover labor cost to replace warranty components unless the work is done by Richmond E-bike.
Richmond E-bike is using well known mechanical components like Tektro brakes, Shimano drive-train and so on. Literally every bike shop is familiar with those components which means that a service shop would be able to easily adjust or replace a part.
Like any other bicycle, Thunder E-bikes need regular tune-up and brakes maintenance. You can do this in your local bike shop at your choice. Richmond E-bike does not cover there tune-ups.
Our components are engineered in such a way that most bike shops should be able to handle troubleshooting or fixing any issues.
Refund and Return Policy
Order Cancellation
● Unshipped Orders: Orders placed between Friday to Monday may be cancelled before 12:00 PM PST on the same Monday. Orders placed between Tuesday and Thursday may be cancelled before 12:00 PM PST on the same Thursday. However, a 5% cancellation fee will be withheld from the total refund amount for all credit card transactions. Orders paid via Interac e-transfer, and Affirm are fully refundable. Please contact us as soon as possible if you decide to cancel your order.
● Shipped Orders: Shipped orders cannot be cancelled. You will need to request to return the product after you receive it.
Returns
Our policy lasts 7-day. If 7-day have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, and in the same condition you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. The e-bike must have less than 10 kilometers on the odometer, be free of any wear and tear, dirt, dust, fragrance, or any other signs of use and must be in the same packaging and condition that you receive it and must include all items that were inside the box (charger, keys, hardware, etc.).
We always strive to deliver a quality product. We build, test and inspect all of our bikes prior to shipping.
- New and unused bikes are subject to 0% restocking fee.
- If the bike is used and with less than 10km on the odometer then it is subject to 30% restocking fee.
The customer is responsible for arranging the freight to come back in our facility. The average cost to ship bike across Canada is up to $250. The bike needs to be returned in its original packing.
Please note that returning a bicycle to us is time-consuming for you and also for us. If you are not sure if the bike will fit you, then please contact our customer service which would guide you.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase without any confirmation from us.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
Any item not in its original condition is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
All electrical parts, such as the controller, display, lithium battery, etc., are final sales, with no return or exchange.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original payment method within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, email us at sales@richmondebike.com and send your item to UNIT 185-13988 MAYCREST WAY Richmond, British Columbia, CA V6V3C3.
Shipping
To return your product, you should mail your product to UNIT 185-13988 MAYCREST WAY Richmond, British Columbia, CA V6V3C3.
For any E-bike return, we will have our shipping company comes to your place to pick it up, so you will need to pack it back into the original box when you receive it.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
You should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance for any shipping item. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
